Not every exhibitor wants to assemble a modular frame piece by piece. BriteBooth's Hopup backlit displays use a different approach entirely: a collapsible, expanding pop-up frame — the same mechanism behind classic pop-up trade show walls — paired with backlit tension-fabric graphics and built-in LED lighting.
How Hopup's frame works
Instead of connecting separate aluminum sections, the Hopup frame expands and folds like an accordion, the same action as a traditional (non-backlit) pop-up display. That's the core appeal: one person can unfold it, lock it into shape, and attach the LED lighting array in a few minutes — no loose parts to track, no risk of losing a connector between shows.
How the graphic attaches
Once the frame is expanded, the LED lighting strips attach to the frame's scissor arms, the cords route and secure along the structure, and a tension-fabric graphic stretches over the lit frame. The fabric is backlit tension fabric — similar in spirit to WaveLight's zippered approach — designed to transmit even light once the frame is powered on.
Sizes and pricing
- 2.5ft Hopup backlit display: from $1,780 — a compact accent panel or side piece
- 7.5ft Hopup backlit display: from $2,093 — a mid-size backdrop that fits most booth configurations
- 10ft Hopup backlit display: from $2,791 — full-width coverage for a standard 10x10 back wall
Where Hopup fits against BriteBooth's other lines
Hopup's pop-up mechanism makes it the fastest single-person setup in the lineup — faster than assembling separate SEG frame sections, though SEGO/FrameBright and Casonara offer more size and configuration flexibility for larger or multi-panel booths. If your priority is minimum setup time and minimum parts to manage, Hopup is the pick; if you need to scale up to a 10x20 or want 360° illumination, FrameBright, WaveLight, or Casonara are better fits.
Durability and reuse
Like BriteBooth's other backlit systems, the Hopup frame and LED array are a one-time purchase — only the tension-fabric graphic needs reordering when your message changes. Collapsible pop-up frames have a long track record in the exhibit industry for surviving repeated setup/teardown cycles, since the mechanism is the same proven design used in non-backlit pop-up walls for decades.
Setup time
Expect roughly 10–15 minutes for the 2.5ft or 7.5ft sizes, and 15–20 minutes for the 10ft, including attaching the LED array and the graphic — no tools required at any size.
